Danielson, Christian N. (27 JAN 1855 - 29 NOV 1947)

Funeral services were conducted at two o’clock Monday afternoon, Dec. 1, 1947, from the Griebenow Funeral Home (Owen, Wisconsin) for Christian N. Danielson, aged 88 years, 10 months and 2 days. Mr. Danielson passed away at the home of his daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hingiss, where he had been making his home for the past many years, shortly after noon on Saturday, Nov. 29th, 1947. The Rev. M. Glick, Owen, read the final rites and interment was made in the Riverside Cemetery.

Pallbearers at the service were Ebner Gustafson, Hilmar Gustafson, C. E. Beck, M. H. Williams, Axel Lindgren, and Swan Petersen. Flower girls were Mesdames Swan Petersen, Axel Lindgren, C. E. Beck, and Ebner Gustafson.

Christian N. Danielson was born Jan. 27, 1855, near Copenhagen, Denmark. Mr. Danielson came to America in 1879 at the age of twenty. He settled on a farm near Milan, Ill. On Sept. 4, 1888, he married Susanna McConnel. Two daughters were born to this union. At a later time the family moved to Rock Island, Ill., and in 1908 they came to Owen (Clark Co.), Wis., where Mrs. Danielson passed away in 1908.

He is survived by a host of friends whom he had endeared himself to during his many years in this community, two daughters, Mrs. Catherine Hingiss, and Mrs. Carrie Mathias; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
