Sanger, Ernest Mr. and Mrs. (27 Oct 1915 – 25 June 1966)

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Sanger, Loyal, celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary, Saturday, June 25 at the Star Lodge Motel. A dinner was served to 118 guests and a social evening was spent at their home on route 1, Loyal, Bells, streamers, and gold–tone flowers added to the decorations for the reception and supper which was held from 2 to 4 p.m.

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Sanger were married October 27, 1915. On Sunday, Oct. 24, of last year, the couple celebrated their anniversary at their home with family members. One of their sons, Major Lawrence Sanger, who was serving as a chaplain in Thailand at the time, was not able to be present so a second celebration was planned. Major Sanger and his family were present at this time from Fort Ord, California.

Other family members present were Elmer of Rockford, Illinois; Mrs. Alvin (Evelyn) Roehl, Chili; and Mr. and Mrs. Norman (Mildred) Faber, Granton. There are 10 grandchildren. The anniversary couple had as their original wedding attendants, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kleinschmidt, Granton, the later a sister of the bridal Mrs. Ruth Lindow, Milwaukee; and Bonnie Garbusch, Granton, both cousins of the groom. All were able to be present Saturday.

Other guests attending the event came from Rockford,Illinois; Stillman Valley, Milwaukee, Valders, Collins, Spencer, Unity, Granton, Chilir and Loyal.
