Andreasen, Esther E. (22 AUG 1948)

A lovely wedding ceremony was solemnized at seven-thirty o’clock Sunday, Aug. 22, 1948 at the Danish Lutheran Church at Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) when the Rev. F. C. Hansen, pastor of a church at Alden, Minn., read a nuptial ceremony that united Miss Esther Elaine Andreasen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Andreasen of Withee to Donald Peter Osterby, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Osterby of Grant, Mich.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a gown of white marquisette with a lace trimmed fingertip veil and a pearlized orange blossom crown.

During the double ring ceremony Mary Lois Stewart, accompanied by Joyce Stewart at the organ, sang "I Love You Truly" and "The Lord’s Prayer." The wedding march was played by Esther Dixen.

Attending the couple were Roma Andreasen as maid of honor and Richard Peterson as best man.

A reception was given for the young couple at the home of the bride’s parents. Following a trip through northern Wisconsin and Minnesota they will make their home at Wausau where the groom is employed by the Employers Mutual Insurance Co.

The bride is a graduate of the Withee High School and a business college. Previous to her marriage she was an office employee of the E. W. Kidd Co., Owen.

The bridegroom is a graduate of the Grant High School and attended a vocational school studying business matters prior to his employment in Wausau.

Out of town guests attending the ceremony were Mr. and Mrs. Chris Osterby, his parents, Elmer, Roy and Helga Osterby, all of Grant, Mich.; Donald Hansen of Minneapolis; Gayma Andreasen, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Andreasen of Minneapolis; Mrs. Bill Fisher of Des Moines, Iowa, and Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Hansen.
