Nowack, Darlene (Marriage - 18 August 1950)

After a honeymoon in northern Wisconsin Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Hurtis are making their home with the bride’s mother in Granton. The bride is the former Darlene Nowack, daughter of Mrs. Elsie Nowack of Granton. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Hurtis of Chetek. The marriage occurred on August 18, 1950, at the Union Church at Granton.

The bride wore a gown of sheer marquisette-over-taffeta. The yoke was outlined with a full lace ruffle. The lace was repeated on the edge of the long train and the finger-tip veil was caught to a scalloped tiara. Red and white roses tied with a satin ribbon composed the bouquet.

The bride was attended by Miss Betty Rae Dorst, Miss Laura Nowack, Mrs. Clarence Reisner and Mrs. John Kalal. They wore identical gowns of orchid, green, pink and yellow.

The groom was attended by Joe Bossany, with Arthur Hurtis, John Kalal and Clarence Reisner as ushers.

The groom is employed by a trucking firm and the bride is employed in Marshfield.
