Jacobi, Lloyd E. (17 MAR 1926 - 3 SEP 2013)

Lloyd E. Jacobi, age 87, died Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

He was born March 17, 1926 in the town of Holton, son of the late Herbert and Amanda (Junker) Jacobi. On October 20, 1956 he married Dorothy Hohensee at Trinity Lutheran Church, town of Wausau.

Lloyd became a child of God in his baptism at Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford, and was later confirmed at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Marathon. He graduated from Marathon High School in 1944. Lloyd was a humble man whose love of the Lord and family came first in his life.

He operated a dairy farm in the town of Wausau with his wife, Dorothy, and also worked for many years at North Central Health Care Center, Wausau. His farm and buildings were always kept in A-one condition and he enjoyed doing yard work and seeing the beautiful flowers that bloomed every year since he bought the farm in 1950. He was an active member of his church, Trinity Lutheran, town of Wausau, as an officer and a member of the Men's Club. Lloyd was most proud that he had sent his children to college.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, of Wausau; his son, Orin, and three daughters, Melissa, Linette and Jenny; grandchildren, Ida, Anthony, Elle, Jasmine and Rami; one brother, Orville (Adeline) Jacobi; two sisters, Bernice Roeder and Leona Braun; many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Kevin, five brothers, Roland, Clarence, Melvin, Herbert and Gilbert, and four sisters, Erma, Clara, Ruth and Bernette.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 6, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 4103 N. 69th Street, Wausau. Rev. Scott Holoubek will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau, and again on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
