Klick, Mary (29 MAY 1947)

The marriage of Miss Mary Klick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Klick of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and Wayne Sondgeroth of Mendota, Ill., took place before an altar decorated with pink snapdragons and lighted candles at a nuptial high mass, Thursday, May 29th, 1947 at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church. Rev. Stanley Swikoski performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a gown of white slipper satin, the bodice being trimmed with imported Spanish lace with long pointed sleeves and full train. Her fingertip veil fell from a satin pleated half hat trimmed with orange blossoms and lace. She wore a gold cross, gift of the groom, and carried a bouquet of white calla lilies.

Miss Virginia Klick, cousin of the bride dressed in blue satin, acted as maid of honor. Margaret Sondgeroth, sister of the groom, dressed in pink satin, was bridesmaid. They carried colonial bouquets of roses and carnations.

The groom was attended by Ervin Klick and groomsman was Frank Klick, both brothers of the bride. They wore carnation boutonnieres.

The bride’s mother wore a green dress. The groom’s mother wore a black dress. Each wore a corsage of carnations. Following the ceremony a reception was held for 80 guests at the P.N.A. Hall.

Out of town guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Leo Sondgeroth, Roland, Paul and Larry Sondgeroth, Elaine and Dorothy Sondgeroth, Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Sondgeroth, of Mendota, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. James Stack of Earlville, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Leon Sondgeroth of Streator, Ill., Helen Sondgeroth of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Klick and daughter Virginia, Mrs. Ray Sobaski of St. Paul, Thos. Tobola of Cadott, Mr. and Mrs. H. Lencowski and Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Henkins of Stanley.
