OWART BENEFIT

August Owart, bar tender at Brehm’s lost some clothing and other articles in the fire. The Knowlton troupe who were at Brehm’s on the night of the fire, have decided to return here and give an entertainment at Colby Hall, next Saturday evening, for the benefit of August. Everybody should turnout and give them a good house for this laudable enterprise.

MOTHER OF MRS. WM. REEVES DIES

Mrs. Griffin was a very estimable lady, aged 80 years. She leaves a husband two or three years her senior. Mr. Reeves took the train Saturday afternoon for Montello.

COLD WEATHER

Our warn and pleasant fall weather stepped aside and gave cold and blustery winter a chance, Saturday, the thermometer indicating form 8 to 12 deg. below zero Sunday morning and from 24 to 32 degrees below Monday morning, according to the location. We would prefer to take it in lighter doses until we get used to it.
