Halverson, Diane C. (Marriage - 21 June 1958)

Diane C. Halverson, daughter of Mrs. Lawrence Patterson, and Woodrow Schmutzler, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Schmutzler, Sr., were united in marriage Saturday afternoon, June 21, at 2:00 P.M. in the First Evangelical and Reformed church in Colby, Wis., Rev. V. O. Grosshuesch reading the marriage ceremony.

The bride wore a floor-length gown of chantilly type lace over satin. The fitted bodice had a Sabrina neckline with long tapering sleeves over the wrists. The full gathered skirt had alternate ruffles. Her imported silk illusion veil cascaded to her finger tips from a tiara trimmed with seed pearls and iridescent sequins. Her bouquet consisted of red roses and white carnations and white streamers trimmed with red sweetheart roses.

Sandra Blank, maid of honor, and Nancy Blank, bridesmaid, wore blue ballerina-length dresses of nylon lace and chiffon over taffeta. The lace bodices had scooped necklines with full gathered skirts of chiffon. They also wore tiaras trimmed with seed pearls of matching colors. Their circle bouquets consisted of blue and white carnations.

James Schmutzler, a brother of the groom, served as best man and Arthur Halverson, brother of the bride, was groomsman.

A reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Kramer of Colby, Route 2. In the evening, a wedding dance was held at the Kolby Park Pavilion.

The couple will make their home in Riplinger.
