Langiewicz, Leona G. (5 JUL 1947)

A double ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Pollock at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, July 5th, 1947, at ten o’clock at Stanley, when Miss Leona G. Langiewicz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Langiewicz, became the bride of Stephen Lato, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Lato of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).

The attendants were Miss Clarice Langiewicz, sister of the bride, maid of honor, and John Lato, brother of the groom, best man. The second couple were Miss Dolores Langiewicz, sister of the bride, and John Truba, both girls wore pink formals with pearls and earrings, which were a gift of the bride. Each carried bouquets of pink and white carnations.

The bride wore a dress of white satin styled with a fitted bodice sweet heart neckline, long sleeves. The full skirt ended in a long train. She wore a fingertip veil with a coronet halo, trimmed with sprays of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of white lilies and carnations. Gift of the groom was a double stand of pearls with earrings to match.

A reception following the ceremony was held at home of the bride, attended by relatives and close fiends. Over 200 families attended the evening dance and shower.
