Soeller, Dorothy B. (15 SEP 1947)

A nuptial high mass read Monday at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Thorp, united in marriage Miss Dorothy B. Soeller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Soeller, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and Ervin O. Geisler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Geisler, Greenwood (Clark Co.). The Rev. Father A. Muckerheide was the celebrant.

Mrs. Joseph Kumbera, Lawton Okla., sister of the bride, was maid of honor and Bob Soeller, brother of the bride, was best man. Others in the bridal party included Mrs. Bob Soeller, Thorp, sister-in-law of the bride, and Miss Eileen Kuehn, Greenwood, cousin of the groom, as bridesmaids; Harry Meinhardt, Greenwood, as groomsman; Howard Rank and Norman Soeller, Stanley, both cousins of the bride, as ushers.

The bride wore a white satin gown styled with a marquisette overskirt and a long train. Her fingertip veil was caught to a headdress of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of white gladioli.

The maid of honor wore a gown of white net over satin and an open crown sweetheart bonnet. She carried a bouquet of pink and white gladioli. The bridesmaids woere white marquisette gowns and open crown sweetheart bonnets.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the American legion Hall, Thorp, and a dance was held there that evening.

Mrs. Geisler was a clerk at the Red and White Store, Thorp, and Mr. Geisler is employed by the R.E.A., Greenwood.
