Siok, Mary (4 OCT 1947)

Gowned in traditional white satin, Miss Mary Siok became the bride of Roland Misfeldt, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Misfeldt, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), during a ceremony read at the rectory of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Gilman, by the Rev. John Dzreski on Saturday, Oct. 4, 1947.

The bride, who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Siok, Gilman, wore a gown fashioned with a round neckline, fitted bodice and an entrained marquisette skirt. Her three-quarter length veil, edged in lace, was held in place bay an orange blossom headdress. She carried a cascade arrangement of white mums and spirea.

Miss Clara Gryniewski, Superior, as maid of honor, and Miss Beverly Faucher, Stanley, as bridesmaid, wore identical chartreuse gowns styled with bouffant skirt and long peplums. They carried bouquets of yellow mums and spirea.

The bride’s brother, Wallace Siok, Withee, served as best man and the groomsman was Gale Misfeldt, brother of the groom.

The groom is a graduate of the Thorp High School in the class of 1942, and has been employed by the Wis. Scientific Breeding Institute as Artificial Inseminator for the Clark Co. breeders coop, in the northern part of the county, for the past year and a half.

The bride is a graduate of the Gilman High School in 1944. For the past year she has been employed as bookkeeper at the Blue Moon Foods, Inc. plant in Thorp.

About 25 guests attended the reception held at the future home of the couple, route 1, Greenwood. A dance and shower were given that evening at the Mileaway Hall at Thorp.
