Decker, Barbara (Marriage - 20 Sept. 1958)

Miss Barbara Decker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Decker of Colby, and Eugene Mueller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Art Haffner, were united in marriage at Fenwood Saturday, Sept. 20.

The bride was attired in a gown of net and lace over taffeta with a lace pleat in the front, lace ruffles in the back with a Sabrina neckline, headpiece of rhinestones with pearls with a fingertip veil. Her cascade bouquet consisted of roses, white carnations and stephanotis.

Delores Mueller, the maid of honor, wore a strapless gown of blue lace and net over taffeta with jacket, pearl headpiece with shoulder length veil. Her bouquet consisted of blue and white carnations with pink streamers. The bridesmaids, June Budtke and Janet Syring, wore identical strapless gowns of rose lace and net over taffeta with jackets, pearl headpieces with shoulder length veils. Their bouquets consisted of rose and white carnations with blue streamers.

The groom was attended by his brother, Roger Mueller, as best man, and Marvin Doucher, his cousin, and Roger Kramer, the bride’s cousin, as groomsmen.

The bride’s mother wore a black print dress with black accessories. Both mothers, as well as the grand mothers, wore corsages of pink and white carnations.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents and dinner was served about 125 guests at the Colby Hotel. In the evening, a wedding dance was held at the Riverview Ballroom, Stratford.

The couple will make their home at Colby where the groom is employed by the Johnson Silo and Lumber Co. The bride is a graduate of Colby High School.
