Curtiss, Wis. - Oct. 16, 1958

Mrs. A. M. Erickson and Mr. and Mrs. Art Thompson attended a rally for the Lutheran Welfare Society of Wisconsin at Eau Claire Wednesday, Oct. 8.

Mrs. Art Laabs was the guest speaker at a Ladies’ Aid meeting at Central Lutheran church Wednesday.

Miss Beverly Kraut, A.F.B., has arrived home from Keester, Miss., her last assignment after four years of U.S. air service.

Sandra Konik and Janet Peissig, students at Wisconsin State Teachers College, Eau Claire, spent the week-end at their homes here.

Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Erickson left Friday morning for Brookings, S. Dak., where they spent the week-end with their son, John Erickson, and family.

Mrs. E. M. Peterson returned home Sunday from a ten-day visit with her son, Art, and family at Madison.

Mrs. Manda Borgemoen returned home Saturday from a two-month visit with relatives in South Dakota.

Mrs. Josephine Holmen of Minneapolis, Minn., spent the week-end with her son-in-law and daughter, Rev. and Mrs. Max E. Wilhelm, and family.

Week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Hennlich were their sons-in-law and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Orlyn Wanke and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Elert, and sons of Milwaukee and Mr. and Mrs. George Edwards and family of Stetsonville.

Harold W. Laabs, who has been a patient at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, since September 2nd, following a heart attack, returned home Sunday.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ralph Green of Bluffton, Ind., age 68, were held at Bluffton Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 14. Mrs. Green, nee Alma Neitzel, grew to womanhood in Hoard. She married Ralph Green at Curtiss in June, 1915. They lived here until 1942 when they moved to Bluffton, Ind. The deceased is survived by her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Alfred (Lila) Mittlestadt of Bluffton, Mrs. Al (Jeanette) Goldhamer of Milwaukee and Mrs. Frances (Shirley) W. Lovett of Cincinatti, Ohio; one brother, Laurence Neitzel; three sisters, Mrs. Albert Kuehling of Stockton, Calif., Mrs. Otto Bublitz of Owen and Mrs. Mabel Hanson of Park Falls; and seven grand children. Mrs. Green was a member of the Congregational church and the Eastern Star and had many friends here and in Abbotsford, Wis. Mrs. Jake Johnson, Mrs. Laurence Neitzel and Mrs. Harold House attended the funeral.
