Greisch, Mary #2 (25 JUN 1889 - 28 DEC 1947)
Mrs. Mary Greisch, 79, formerly of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), where she resided for many years, passed away at her home in Milwaukee, on Sunday, Dec. 28, 1948.
The body was brought to Neillsville where Rev. John Pritzl conducted funeral services at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 9:00 Wednesday morning, Dec. 31st, with interment in the parish cemetery.
Mary Jane O’Hara was united in marriage to Matt Greisch at Adell, Wis., on June 25, 1889. She came to Neillsville with her husband in 1892, where she resided for 9 years and moved to Thorp on May 25, 1901. Her husband passed away in Sept. 1938 and one son, Cletus in April 1914. Since that time her home had been for the greater part of the time in Milwaukee, returning to Thorp for frequent visits with friends.
She was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis and the Christian Mothers Society.
She is survived by one brother, Robert O’Hara, and three sisters, Mrs. Anna Shanahan and Frances and Alice O’Hara, a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Lydia Greisch of Edgar, and two grandsons.
Those from here who attended the funeral were: Miss Marie Kremareiter, Mrs. Eugene J. Wilhelm, Mrs. Arthur Sodburg and Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Wilhelm.
