Scheel, Doris Selma (Marriage - May 1936)

Miss Doris Selma Scheel, Abbotsford, daughter of Mrs. Emma Scheel, Monroe and Henry Blanke, Curtiss, were united in marriage at the parsonage in Dorchester by the Rev. J. Brandt of St. Peters Lutheran church.

The bride was dressed in a pale blue ensemble and wore a shoulder bouquet of sweet peas and carnations. The bridesmaid, Miss Rena Olke, wore pale pink. The best man was Carl Lueth of Curtiss.

The wedding was followed by a reception at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Axel Johnson, where the bride has been living the past four years.

The couple plan on taking a honeymoon down to Monroe to see the bride’s mother in June.

They will make their home one and a half miles northeast of Curtiss where the groom operates a farm.
