Next Friday ushers in the year 1886. Everybody, or nearly everybody, will be making new resolves, some of them to be kept as much as two weeks while others will be broken the next day. Some people laughed at T. Bleichroth, the jeweler, when he bought the cradle at Haberstitzer’s auction last fall, and remarked that it "might come in handy some time."
