Nutting, Mary (26 MAY 1875 - 26 DEC 1943)

Mrs. Mary Nutting (nee Mary Smith) who passed away at Medford Sunday, Dec. 26, was born in Hayten on May 26, 1875. When still a small girl her folks moved to Boyd, where she lived until she was 20 years old. They then moved to Neillsville, where, on June 20, 1900, she was married to William Nutting of Loyal.

They lived in Loyal four years, and one daughter, Naomi , and a son, Rudell, were born here. Then they moved to North Dakota, where they lived 11 years, returning to loyal. Twenty years ago they moved to Taylor county, where they have resided since.

She united with the Methodist church when only 12 years of age and has been a faithful Christian ever since.

She leaves to mourn her loss her husband and son, both of Medford, and five grandchildren, besides a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. G. E. Pauloweit. The pallbearers were Ed Capelle, S. Schmid, Henry Bergman, Fred Bergman, Ed Lemke and Emil Lemke.

Those from out of town who attended the funeral were a grandson from South Dakota, Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Nutting, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nutting, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Holt and Mrs. Oscar Charpar of Butternut, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Koplitz and son, Eugene, and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Tierman of Owen, Miss Flora Bartholomay of Wausau, Mr. and Mrs.
