Morgan, Eva (2 OCT 1948)

Miss Eva Morgan of 3204 81st St., Long Island, N.Y., daughter of Joseph Morgan of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and Mr. Frederick F. Stafford, son of Francis Stafford of Northport, L.I., N.Y., were united in marriage by Rev. F. Weiss in a 10:00 o’clock nuptial Mass on the morning of Oct. 2nd at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Jackson Heights, L.I., N.Y.

The couple was attended by Jack Demsey of Middle Village, L.I., and matron of honor, Mrs. Doris Winkler of Brooklyn, N.Y. Julius Morgan, the bride’s brother of Augusta, served as usher.

The bride was attired in a white taffeta gown with circular peplum, net shoulders and full skirt. She wore an illusion fingertip veil and carried a cascade bouquet of white roses.

The matron of honor was dressed ina an aquamarine taffeta, princes style, with hat and veil to match. She carried a bouquet of American beauty roses.

A reception was held to the couple after the ceremony at Paprin’s Woodside, L.I., attended by fifty guests. Among the guests at the wedding were: Mr. Joseph Morgan, father of the bride; Julius P. Morgan, brother of the bride; Francis Stafford, father of the groom; Mr. and Mrs. Elliott Rogers, sister of the groom; Commander Herbert Wirth and Adjutant Bernard S. McGovern of the American Legion, New York County; First District Commander of the American Legion, Daniel Dunn; Brigadier Genral Robert E. Condon of Fort Slocum, N.Y.; Past new York State Commander of the Catholic War Veterans, Frank J. Manley; Wm. B. Eaton, member of the Board of Education, and other officers of the American Legion, and Catholic War Veterans; Mrs. Margaret Dietl and daughter Gisela of Jackson Heights, L.I>

The bride has been employed for some time as secretary for the Commander and adjutant of the American Legion, New York County. The groom is a salesman for Low Surgical Co., Flushing L.I., and Vice Commander of St. Mary’s Catholic War Veterans Post No. 254.

They are now at home to their friends at 3204 81st St., Jackson Heights, L.I., New York.
