Millus, Melvin (5 JAN 1922 - 13 NOV 1948)

Melvin Millus, 29, son of Matt Millus, former residents of the Town of Worden (Clark Co., Wis.), died at his home in Mayville, N.D. on Saturday, Nov. 13, 1948, of pneumonia.

The remains were shipped to the Thorp Funeral Home and funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 8:30 o’clock at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church with interment following in the parish cemetery.

Melvin Mathew Millus died at his home in Mayville, N.D., of pulmonary embolism on Nov. 13, 1948. Melvin was born in Thorp, Wis., on Jan. 5, 1922. He was 26 years old.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Frances Millus, and two sisters, Mrs. T. A. Pringle of Minneapolis and Mrs. Mike Jankoski of Stanley, Wis.

Last rites were conducted by Rev. A.M. Muckerheide at St. Bernard’s Church here at 8:30 Wednesday morning, Nov. 17th, for the decease. The local Catholic Order of Foresters attended the services in a body and the following Foresters served as pallbearers: Roy Verkuilen, Francis Niedzwicki, Edmond Brunett, Alfred Baldeschwiler, Leonard Herman and Leonard Haas. Interment took place in the parish cemetery
