Mueller, Bertha (Marriage - 6 Oct. 1937)

Miss Bertha Mueller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Mueller, Abbotsford, became the bride of Gerald Stelzel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Stelzel of Abbotsford, at the Lutheran church at Milan at 2 o’clock, Wednesday afternoon. The Rev. George Groh officiated.

The bride’s gown was a simple and beautiful white satin reaching to the floor, the long tulle veil was caught in cap effect. A shower bouquet of assorted flowers completed the ensemble of the bride.

The maid of honor, Miss Marie Miller, Eau Claire, wore an old rose satin gown and carried flowers of assorted colors.

The two bridesmaids, Miss Ina Heikman, Loyal, and Miss Annabell Zahorka, Athens, wore lace covered gowns of blue and peach.

Mr. Stelzel’s attendants were Mark Decker, Eau Claire, Herman Mueller, brother of the bride and Roy Stelzel, cousin of the groom.

After the marriage ceremony a reception was held at the home of bride’s parents.

In the evening a wedding dance was held at Jerkwater. It was in this neighborhood that the groom grew to manhood.

The young couple will make their home in Durand.
