Steinbach, Gerald A. (8 OCT 1959 - 6 OCT
2013)
Gerald "Jerry" A. Steinbach, age 53 of Granton, WI was met at the
heavenly gates by his little brother Phillip "Chuckie" Steinbach on Sunday,
October 6, 2013.
Gerald Allen Steinbach was born on October 8, 1959 in
Neillsville, WI. He attended school in Granton and at the age of 12 started
working for Kuhl Farms. Jerry worked there until he went to work for Roehl
Transport as a truck driver where he worked for 30 years. Before he retired in
2009, Jerry worked as a Trainer for Roehl and earned the One Million Mile Safety
Award and was fast approaching the Two Million Mile Safety Award. Jerry was also
very proud that he won the National Truck Driving Competition Award. Jerry was
always known for his saying "Yo whasssup?" and he loved visiting with friends
and family. His grandkids knew him as the Grandpa with the cow hat. Jerry was a
member of Our Father's House in Chili, WI.
He is survived by his sons;
Russell (Tina) Steinbach of Granton and Jon Peek of Chili, his mother, Joyce
Steinbach of Granton, 2 grandchildren; Mataya and Kallen Steinbach, 2 brothers;
Tim (Cheryl) Steinbach and Ed (Tammy) Steinbach both of Granton. He is further
survived by several nieces and nephews and longtime friends, Wayne and Janice
Kuhl of Granton.
Jerry was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip
"Chuckie" Steinbach and his grandparents.
A Celebration of Jerry's Life
will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at the Granton Fire Hall from 1:00
p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
