Kostick, Mary (22 DEC 1870 - 4 MAY 1949)

Funeral services were held at the Russian Orthodox Church at Lublin at ten o’clock Saturday morning, May 7th for Mrs. Mary Kostick, who died after a lingering illness at her home in the Town of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), on May 4th, 1949, Rev. Michael Maletick and Rev. J. F. Palaszewski officiated.

The deceased, who was born in Poland, Dec. 22, 1870, came to America in 1888. She resided for a number of years in Pittsburgh, Pa., and located with her husband on a farm near Thorp in the year 1903, and this has since been her home.

She is survived by six sons, Steve, Paul, Doman, George and John, all of Thorp, and Pete of Gilman; three daughters, Mrs. Teofil (Ella) Luzynski, Mrs. Mike (Mary) Nowak of Lublin, and Mrs. Walter (Anna) Ruda of Thorp, thirty-four grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

She was laid to rest in the parish cemetery, the following acting as pallbearers, John Tyznik, Mike Przybylski, John Lew, Mike Pirus, John Ruda, and Anton Mazarka.
