Dumke, Frederick J. (27 JAN 1860 - 7 MAY 1949)

Frederick John Dumke, born in Germany, Jan. 27, 1860, and died at his home in the town of Worden (Clark Co., Wis.) on May 7th, 1949.

He came to this county in 1885 and settled in Joliet, Ill., and was married to Bertha Hiller in Joliet on April 22, 1886.

They moved to Waseca, Minn. In 1907 and then came to the town of Worden in 1914, where they have resided ever since.

His wife Bertha died on Nov. 16th, 1935. A daughter Clara also preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn, one daughter, Minnie, at home, 4 sons, Clarence, Walter, Ernest and Arthur at home, Fred of Joliet, Ill., Louis of Neenah, Wis.; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. The body lay in state at the Plombon Funeral Home, Stanley until Wednesday noon when it was taken to the Epiphany Lutheran Church at Stanley. Services were held at 2 p.m. conducted by Rev. M. F. Zimmerman. Burial was made in Oakland Cemetery in Stanley.
