Ruedel, James E. (12 Mar. 1943 - 10 Jan. 2009)

James E. Ruedel, 65, of Granton died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009, at Saint Joseph's Hospital. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. A private family interment is planned. The Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, Marshfield is assisting the family with arrangements.

Ruedel was born March 12, 1943, in Chicago to Mr. and Mrs. Edward Ruedel. On March 12, 1943, he married Charlene D. Schraft.

He worked at various metal fabrication shops before coming to the Granton area with his wife to operate the Pine Haven Farms Animal Sanctuary.

He is survived by his wife Charlene Ruedel, Granton, children, Michael (Carol) Ruedel, Ottawa, Ill., Lisa Ruedel, Lombard, Ill., Matthew Ruedel, Belvidere, Ill., Sharon Laske, Cherry Valley, Ill., James Schneider, Belvidere, Ill., and Lauren (Bill) Fedor, Cherry Valley, Ill., and five grandchildren.
