Henry W. Brown was born on Nov. 12, 1850, in Milwaukee, and died June 29, 1906, at his home in Neillsville (Clark Co., Wis.). His death was not unexpected as he had been ill for a long time.

Deceased moved from Milwaukee to Stevens Point with his parents when about ten years of age. About four years afterward they moved to the Town of Grant, Clark Co. and deceased has been a resident of this county ever since. He married Catherine Selves in Sept. 1878, and they lived in this city ever since their union.

Mr. Brown was a quiet personage but enjoyed life greatly. His earlier years were spent in camp life among the loggers and later he became a carpenter and at one time was interested in a wagon shop.

Of the family remaining there are wife and two sons, Forest A. and Herbert, and three brothers and one sister, Jacob, Joseph, Peter and Mrs. Jos. Buss.

The funeral was held July 1st from the Congregational Church, Rev. Albert R. Rice officiating. The members of the E.F.U. and the City Fire Department, in both of which he was a member, attended in a body.
