Ackerman, Charles & Mary #2 (50th - 1 JAN 1907)

Last Tuesday Mr. and Mrs. Chas. A. Ackerman celebrated their golden wedding at their home three miles northwest of Neillsville (Clark Co., Wis.). Their home was crowded all afternoon and evening by friends and relatives who came to wish them many years of happiness and to bring with them a variety of presents to remind them of the event. An excellent supper was served and the celebration proved to be one of the most enjoyable ever held in this vicinity. The gathering was in the nature of a surprise, as it was planned by Mrs. Henry Garvin, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ackerman, who is here with her husband from Fessenden, N.D. The wedding was also in the medium of a reunion of the Condit brothers and sisters, who comprise Mrs. Ackerman, Mrs. Clara Cook of Olivette, Mrs. Anna Hamilton of Olivette, Mrs. Sarah Guest of Roch Elm, Mrs. Cora Gilmore of Roch Elm, T. D. Condit of Neillsville and E. R. Condit of Roch.

Mr. and Mrs. Ackerman were married at Rubicon in 1857, settled in Clark County forests on their present farm in 1864, and have a host of friends who hope they will see many more anniversaries.
