Rasmussen, Marie (8 Sept. 1890 - 9 Mar. 1960)

Mrs. Charles Rasmussen died Wednesday afternoon after a lingering illness. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at Zion Lutheran church, Rev. Wm. R. Christian officiating, and internment will be made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in Zion Lutheran church for Mrs. Charles Rasmussen who died at her home last week Wednesday afternoon at the age of 69 years. Rev. William Christian officiated at the services and burial was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Pall bearers were Jack Coates, Ervin Kademan, Ruben Hamann, N. L. Dessloch, Milton Prien and Irvin Eggebrecht.

Mrs. Rasmussen, the former Marie Rohl, was born on September 8, 1890, in Marinette county and was married there on March 6, 1912, to Charles Rasmussen. They came here in 1914 and operated a cheese factory in the town of Hull until 1930 when they moved to the city of Colby, Wis. She was well and favorably known here for her fine character and friendly and kindly disposition.

Surviving are her husband; a son, Wilgert Rasmussen of West Allis; six grand children; five great grand children; a brother, Otto Rohl of Marinette.

One daughter, Mrs. Everett (Mabel) Eder of West Allis died August 27, 1958. Three sisters and two brothers also preceded her in death.

Out-of-town people her for the funeral were Wilgert and Frances Rasmussen and children and Vernon and Jean Eder of West Allis, Otto Rohl and Ray and Erna Remington of Marinette, Everett Eder, Robert and Darlene Beyerl and children and Henry and Lucille Kamps of Milwaukee, Mrs. Tillie Ziegle and Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Kersten of Wisconsin Rapids, Hans and Louise Rasmussen, John and Ruth Probst and James Rasmussen of Bear Creek, Richard and Minnie Rasmussen of Appleton, Emil Schoepke of Clintonville, Walter and Ellen Weller of Wauwatosa and Mrs. George Hessefort of Medford.
