Grottke, Ruth A. (Marriage - 2 September 1950)

Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Granton was the scene on September 2, 1950 of the marriage of Miss Ruth A. Grottke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Grottke, Granton, to John J. Dombro, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Dombro, Sr., of Chicago, Ill.

The bride wore a colonial style dress of marquisette and layers of lace. Her fingertip veil of tulle trimmed with lace fell from a beaded headdress. She carried a shower bouquet of white roses and an orchid.

The matron of honor, Mrs. Chap Paulson, sister of the bride, wore an aqua color gown with a marquisette skirt and lace bodice. She wore matching gloves and headpiece and carried a colonial bouquet of pink asters. The bridesmaid, Mrs. Gale Sarno of Cicero, Ill., a sister of the groom wore a pink color gown of marquisette and lace with matching gloves and headpiece and carried a colonial bouquet of green tinted asters.

The groom was attended by Louis Grottke, brother of the bride, and William Vickers of Chicago.

A supper was served in the Granton Community Hall to about 45 guests.

After a honeymoon trip in northern Wisconsin the bride and groom will reside in Chicago.
