Bradford, Anna (24 July 1882 - 25 January 1971)

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Bradford, 88, of Tigard, Oregon, a former Neillsville resident who died January 25, in the Tigard Convalescent Home, are to be held today (Thursday) at 1:30 p.m. from the Georgas Funeral Home. The Rev. George Yons of the United Church of Christ is to officiate, with burial to be in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Anna Bradford was born July 24, 1882, in Neillsville, the daughter of Herman and Helena (Fisch) Miller. She was educated in Neillsville schools, attended Neillsville High School, and was one of the first clerks hired to work in the “new” Balch-Tragsdorf store (now the Farmers’ Store Co.) when it was built.

Her marriage to William F. Bradford took place in Neillsville November 29, 1906. They farmed in the Town of Grant for over 25 years. Mr. Bradford, who was Clark County sheriff for six years, preceded her in death on October 15, 1955. After that date Mrs. Bradford continued to live in Neillsville, later spending some time with her daughters, first in Rockford, Ill., and later in Oregon. She was a resident of the Tigard Convalescent Home there for the past several years.

Survivors include: three children, Mrs. Peter (Irene) Zaleskas of Rockford, Ill., Mrs. Ray (Florence) Earl of Tigard, Or., and Charles W. Bradford of Charleston, S. C.; three sisters, Mrs. Ellen M. Englund of Neillsville, Mrs. Lillian F. Johnson of Minneapolis, Mn., and Mrs. William Beatrice Reindel of Manitowoc; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
