Dickenson, Mr./Mrs. G. B. (50th Anniv. - 18 Mar. 1940)

Mr. and Mrs. G. B. Dickenson of Riverside celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at their home Monday, March 18th. Members of the family and neighbors and friends gathered in the evening in honor of the couple. They presented them with many beautiful gifts.

Those present were their five children and their families, Leslie and Mrs. George Drum (Nina) of Wausau, Renold of Wisconsin Rapids, Mrs. Henry Wiese (Birdie Bell) and George of Abbotsford, Wis. There are 21 grandchildren, all of whom were present.

Other guests included Mr. and Mrs. Otto Brehms and children, Cherokee, Nelson Ouimette, son, Dale, Gene Cramer, Jesse Parkhill, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Young, Miss Nora Mantor, son Jerris, all of this vicinity and Mrs. Clara Davis of Duluth.

Mrs. Dickenson was born Jennie Cramer in Colton, N.Y., August 1866. She came to Colby with her parents about 1874. Shortly after they settled on their place in Riverside.

Mr. Dickenson was born in Waukegan in 1867. The family moved to Wausau and a few years later came here and cleared a farm east of here.

Mr. and Mrs. Dickenson have made their home together on the farm they still occupy since their marriage. Their son George and his family live with his parents.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Dickenson are in good health and their friends wish them continued health and happiness together.
