Kuehl, Augusta (6 OCT 1867 - 3 FEB 1950)

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. N. Midtlien at Plombon’s Funeral Home at Stanley, Wis. at 10:00 a.m., Monday, Feb. 6th, for Mrs. Augusta Kuehl, 83, who passed away at the Luther Hospital at Eau Claire on Feb. 3, 1950.

The deceased was born in Pommerin, Germany, on Oct. 6, 1867. She came to the United States when 19 years of age and settled in Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), where, in 1890 she was united in marriage to John Kuehl. They moved on a farm in the town of Worden and in 1925 she moved to Stanley tor reside. In 1947 she went to St. Paul to live with her daughter, Mrs. Geo. Quinn, and in 1947 returned to Eau Claire where she resided at the Luther Home until her recent illness and death.

She is survived by four sons and one daughter, Agnes, Mrs. Geo. Quinn of St. Paul, Hugo Kuehl of Thorp, Theodore of East Troy, Wis., and George and August of Mendota, Ill., thirteen grandchildren and two nieces. Her husband and one son, William, preceded her in death.

Interment took place in the East Thorp Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Ernest Halterman, Adolph Frinak, Oscar Ramberg, Charles Ramberg, George Haas and Anton Baldeschwiler.
