Rusch, Eliza V. (10 SEP 1863 - 1 MAR 1950)

Mrs. Eliza Rusch, a former resident of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ralph Cords at Glendale, Arizona, of a cerebral hemorrhage on Mar. 1, 1950. She had reached the age of 86 years, 5 months and 21 days.

Eliza Viola Steele was born in Plymouth, Wis., on Sept. 10, 1863. She was united in marriage on Oct. 31, 1883 to Bernard F. Rusch at Eau Claire, Wis. She lived with her husband and family here for many years on a farm just south of the village. One daughter, Dorothy, preceded her in death in 1908, and her husband died in 1929. She continued to reside here with her son Bernard R. Rusch and also spent some time with her daughter in Arizona during the past years.

She leaves to mourn her death, three children, one son, Bernard R. Rusch of Thorp, and two daughters, Susan, Mrs. Ralph Cords of Glendale, Arizona; one brother, Arthur Steele and one sister, Mrs. Ida Richelieu, both of Abbotsford, Wis., four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, besides numerous nephews, nieces and friends.

Funeral services were conducted at the Brazell Whitney Mortuary Chapel at Glendale, Arizona by Harold Lacy of the M.E. Church of Glendale officiating and burial following in the Glendale Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers were Marcus Miller, Enoch Weed, Gus Young, W.D. McDonald, E. N. Walter, and Barney Brynim.
