Walsdorf, Mary #2 (24 NOV 1887 - 1 OCT 1950)

Mrs. August Walsdorf passed away early Sunday morning on Oct. 1st, 1950 at the Victory Hospital at Stanley, after a short illness.

Mary Elizabeth Possley was born at New Holstein, Wis., on Nov. 24, 1887 and had attained the age of 72 years, 10 months and 6 days.

In the year of 1898 she was married to August Walsdorf at New Holstein, now deceased. She had been a resident of this city for fifty years.

The deceased is survived by one son, Leland, of Ladysmith, one daughter, Linda, Mrs. Peter Luffy of Sarasota, Florida, and four grandchildren; four brothers, Chas. Possley of Thorp, Nick Possley of McComb, Ill., Henry Possley of Erie, Ill., Milton Possley, Green Bay, Wis., and four sisters, Mrs. Agnes Dickrell of Milwaukee, Mrs. Hillary Gerund, Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Joe Hron, Arcadia, Calif., and Mrs. Jake Wiskerchen, Pepin, Wis.

Funeral services were held at St. Bernard’s Church at nine o’clock Wednesday morning, Oct. 4th, Rev. A. M. Muckerheide officiating. Burial took place at St. Bernard’s Cemetery. The Christian Mothers Society, of which she was a member, recited the Rosary at the funeral home on Tuesday evening and attended the funeral in a body on Wednesday morning. Pallbearers were: Chas. Possley, Thorp, Nick Possley, McComb, Ill., Henry Possley, Erie, Ill., Milton Possley, Green Bay, Ted Dickrell, Stanley, John Dickrell, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
