Toelle, Kayla Joy (4 August 1997 - 16 October 2013)

Kayla Joy Toelle, 16, passed away in her sleep Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, in her home in Amherst Junction. She was born Aug. 4, 1997, in Stevens Point, daughter of Michael and Kris (Gordon) Toelle. Kayla enjoyed playing volleyball, baking, shining deer, painting jigs, gardening, driving the jet-ski and four-wheeler, and crafts. She really did enjoy spending time outdoors and soaking up nature at her family cottage on Lake Alice in Tomahawk. While there, she enjoyed catching frogs, toads, tadpoles and turtles. She would fish off the dock and jig for walleyes with her dad. Kayla vacationed over spring break each year to Panama City Beach, FL, where she enjoyed listening to spring break songs, catching crabs at night and walking by the ocean. Kayla worked for the afterschool program and loved all the little children there. She enjoyed babysitting her two favorite little boys, Trekk and Jett. Kayla had told her family she had already decided she wanted to attend UW-Stevens Point to pursue an education degree to be a 4K teacher. Above all, she loved her family and spending time with them. Kayla was a member of the Nelsonville Lutheran Church in Nelsonville. She will be deeply missed by all of her loving family and many friends.
