Naedler, Irene (Marriage - 27 January 1951)

Miss Irene Naedler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Naedler, Granton, became the bride of Dale R. Nanstad, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Nanstad, Blair, on January 27, at Zion Lutheran Church, Granton. The Rev. A. A. Oswald officiated at the 2 o’clock ceremony.

The bride given in marriage by her father chose an eggshell bridal satin gown, which was designed with a fitted bodice, oval neckline softened by a lattice yoke, long sleeves coming to points at the wrist and a gathered skirt which extended into a full glowing train. The waist was emphasized by a butterfly bustle in the back. Her full length eggshell illusion net veil, edged in Alencon lace, fell from a tiara of seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of red roses.

The maid of honor, Miss Delores Greeler, and the bridesmaid, Merline Naedler, Neillsville, cousins of the bride were gowned alike in taffeta dresses of aqua and yellow respectively, featuring a sheer yoke and gentle bias collar. Their full gathered skirts with a large butterfly bustle in back were similar to the bride’s dress. Matching gauntlets and sheer marquisette headpieces, trimmed on each side with a cluster of flowers, completed their ensembles, and each carried a colonial bouquet of carnations and sweet peas.

Allan Nanstad, brother of the groom, was best man, and Marvin Naedler, brother of the bride, was the groomsman.

The Bridal Chorus from "Lohengrin" by Wagner and Mendelssohn’s Wedding March were played on the organ by Ruth Garbisch of Granton for the double-ring ceremony.

Following the ceremony a reception was held in the Community Hall.

The bride is a graduate of Granton High school and attended Eau Claire Teachers college. The groom is a graduate of Blair High School. The couple will reside on a farm near Granton.

Those who came for the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. C.V. Sorenson, Fort Wayne, Ind.; Mr. and Mrs. Art Ramstad, Black River Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Nanstad and family, Blair; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Greeler, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Greeler and family, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Naedler, Mr. and Mrs. Hilbert Naedler and Family, Miss Betty Greeler, Neillsville; Erland Greeler, Madison; Fern Naedler, Menomonie; Miss Bonnie Spry, Marshfield; Rev. and Mrs. A.
