Risavy, Mary (15 Aug. 1878 - 3 Apr. 1951)

Mary Risavy, daughter of Anton Risavy and Telka Novotny was born August 15, 1878 in the village of Neslovec, Bohemia. She came to the United States with her parents when she was 13 years of age. The family resided in Streator, Ill. For some time later going to Lincoln and Peoria, Ill.

On May 25, 1899, at Toluca, Ill. She was united in marriage to Martin Klarich. They remained there only a short time and then moved to Peoria. In May 1926, they with their family, moved to Willard settling on the present farm.

To this union were born six sons: Victor, Peoria, Ill.; William, Chicago, Ill.; Arthur at home, Joseph, Peoria; and Martin Jr.

Mrs. Klarich passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 1951 at 7:15 a. m. at the farm home, following a lingering illness.

A requiem High Mass was read at 10 a. m. on Friday, April 6th with Rev. Augustine Svete officiating. She was laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband on July 11, 1945, a son Frank and her parents.

She is survived by the above named children, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Hermine Jordan, Cicero, Ill., Christine Risavy, Willard; two brothers Henry Risavy, Lincoln, Ill., and Frank Risavy, Palm Springs, Florida.

The pallbearers were Joseph Jordan, Joseph Tolaney, Stanley Volovsek, Frank Volovsek, Anton Jeras and Valentine Krainz.

A general rosary was held on Thursday night at her home for the respose of her soul. She also belonged to the Christian Mother’s Society in Willard, which society took charge of the floral offerings.

Relatives and friends who attended the funeral from away were: Mr. and Mrs. Victor Klarich, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Klarich, Mrs. and Mrs. Robert Ford, Peoria, Ill.; Mrs. Hermine Jordan, Cicero, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Wm Klarich and sons, Chicago; and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Risavy, Lincoln, Ill.
