Garbusch, Gladys (25 April 1904 - 27 February 1951)

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday March, 2 at two o’clock at the Georgas Funeral Home for Mrs. Gladys Garbusch who died at her home on Tuesday morning at 4:10. Rev. Virgil Nulton will officiate at the services with interment in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Mrs. Garbusch was born on April 25, 1904, to Charles and Eunice Gennette at Park Falls, Wis. While she was still a baby her parents moved from Park Falls, to Spencer, where she received her education. About thirty years ago she came to Neillsville to work and spent the remainder of her life here. She was employed at the Lewerenz Sweet Shop, Merchants Hotel, and other restaurants and stores.

On November 26, 1922, she was married to Alfred Garbusch at Neillsville. One daughter was born to them.

Mrs. Garbusch was a member of the Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, her daughter, Mrs. Annabelle (George) Anding of Neillsville, her father, Charles Gennette of Marshfield; four grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters - Clarence of Marshfield; Mrs. John (Rachel) Sautner of Spencer, Mrs. Willard (Alice) Heckel, Sylvester, both of Marshfield; Forrest of Neenah; Mark, Vilas, and Mrs. Joe (Eleanor) Bymers of Spencer.

One brother, Charles, preceded her in death in 1944 and her mother in 1906.

Funeral services for Mrs. Alfred (Gladys) Garbusch were held on March 2, 1951, at the Georgas Funeral Home with Rev. Virgil Nulton officiating. Mrs. Garbusch died at her home on February 27, at the age of 46 years. Mrs. Helen Smith and daughter Mary Ann sang two selections, accompanied by Mrs. Jess Scott at the piano.

Pallbearers were: Elmer Buddenhagen, Harold O’Brien, Arthur Gress, John Trogner, Joe Resong and Oscar Gluck.

Relatives from out of town included Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bymers and daughters, Janice and Judy, Mr. and Mrs. John Sautner, Mr. and Mrs. Vilas Gennett and family, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Gennett, Bette and Roger Gennett, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Wies and family, Mrs. Effie Ringer, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Schultz, James Sautner, Mr. and Mrs. Wally Matter, all of Spencer; Charles Gennett, Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Gennett, Mrs. Willard Heckel, Clarence Gennett, all of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Weis of Unity; Mr. and Mrs. George Bauer, Jr., of Stratford; Mrs. Amanda Christensen of Wisconsin Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. George Teeters, Wilbur Teeters, Leo Teeters, Mrs. John Kennedy, all of Park Falls; Mrs. Minnie Riedel, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Riedel and daughter, Mrs. Anna Riedel and son, Paul of Granton; Mrs. Henry Hale, Alma Center; Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Gennett of Neenah.
