Fahey, Mathilda (24 September 1875 - 4 April 1971)

Mrs. Mathilda Fahey, 95, Greenwood, died late Sunday evening in Neillsville, where she was admitted to the hospital March 26.

Mrs. Fahey, the former Mathilda Zetsche, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Zetsche, was born September 24, 1875, in Eaton Center. She attended the school there and lived all her life in Clark County. She was married in 1895, to Thomas Fahey at Loyal. He died in 1917. They farmed east of Eaton Center until 1910, when they move to Greenwood. She continued to live there until 1965, when she went to Memorial Home in Neillsville. She was a charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Greenwood.

She is survived by a son, John Fahey of Stanley.

Funeral services were held Wednesday from the Hill Funeral Home in Greenwood. The Rev. Eugene Antrim, pastor of Grace Lutheran United Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was made in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Greenwood.
