Duvall, Mr./Mrs. Leo (50th Anniv. - 3 Sept. 1961)

Mr. and Mrs. Leo Duvall of Unity celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at the Unity Memorial Hall Sunday, Sept. 3. The family attended worship services at 10:30 A.M. at the Trinity Lutheran church in Unity after which the Duvall family reunion was held at noon with 75 guests present. One hundred guests were present for supper. Open house was held from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at the hall. The couple wore corsages of yellow and white carnations with gold leaves. A four-tiered wedding cake decorated the table.

Mr. Duvall, son of Charles and Mary Duvall, was born on December 17, 1893. His mother is deceased. His father and stepmother of Highland, Ind., attended the event. Mrs. Duvall, the former Ella Molle, was born on May 28, 1892. They engaged in farming before retiring in April, 1957.

Children present at the celebration were Mrs. Walter (Lila) Seefeld of Park Falls, Melvin of Colby, Mrs. Orland (Irene) Scheer of Spencer, Mrs. Clayton (Lorraine) Wescott of Spencer, Mrs. Don (Arva) Fischer of Unity, Wis. Alvin of Scenic, S. Dak., was unable to attend due to an accident. Also attending were 19 grand children and 18 great grand children.

Only one of the Duvall twins was present for the occasion, their twin granddaughters, Mrs. Jack (Janet) Kaiser of Vesper and Mrs. Gary (Janice) Ewald of Colby, Wis. Their twin great grand daughters, Debra and Diana Seefeld of Spencer, and their twin great nephews, Douglas and Dennis Schulz of Loyal, were all present.
