Bidwell, Anna (26 Nov. 1888 - 29 May 1941)

Mrs. H. J. Bidwell, age 52, wife of a Soo Line railroad conductor died Thursday afternoon at 5:40 o’clock at St. Michael’s hospital, Stevens Point. She had been ailing for two years and entered the hospital on March 1. Her condition was critical the past month.

Mrs. Bidwell, whose maiden name was Anna Vander Wegen, was born on Nov. 26, 1888, at Green Bay. During her girlhood the family moved to Colby where she continued her education and resided until her marriage. She married Mr. Bidwell on Nov. 20, 1906, at Abbotsford, Wis. The couple lived at Abbotsford five years and at Chippewa Falls a year before locating at Stevens Point where they resided since.

Surviving are her husband, a son, Lloyd Bidwell of Chicago; four sisters, Mrs. Adolph Denys and Mrs. C. R. Johnson of Green Bay, Mrs. Nellie Springer of Beloit and Mrs. James Devine of Eau Claire, and three brothers, Clarence Vander Wegen of Eau Claire, Thomas of Thorp and Frank of Duluth, Minn. Her mother died on May 9 at Eau Claire.

Funeral services were held Monday morning at 9 o’clock at St. Stephen’s Catholic church and burial followed at Withee.
