Radowitz, Mary (15 JUN 1949)

The Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), was the scene of a lovely wedding ceremony Wednesday morning, June 15, 1949, at nine o’clock, when Miss Mary Radowitz, daughter of Mr. Benedict Radowitz, and Mr. Raymond Munson, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Munson, repeated their marriage vows before Rev. Raymond Bornbach.

The bride wore a gown of beautiful sheer lace over satin with a lace train. An off shoulder satin bow set off the yoke. A large satin bow at the waist was met with satin bows falling from a full skirt to the waist at the back. Her fingertip veil was fashioned from a heart shaped crown of orange blossoms. Her bouquet was of white and pink roses, baby breath and blue forget-me-nots with satin streamers of rose buds and lily of the valley.

For jewelry the bride wore a gold locket and bracelet that were her father’s gift to her mother on their wedding day. The groom’s gift to his bride was his mother’s gold wateh and pin and a white and gold bound prayer book. Her crystal and silver rosary was a gift from her father.

The bride’s only attendant was Miss Helen Munson, the groom’s sister. She was attired in a virgin blue marquisette gown styled similar to the bride’s. Her bouquet was of yellow and pink roses, baby breath and blue forget-me-nots with blue streamers of rose buds. She wore a pearl necklace and earrings.

The groom’s attendant was his brother-in-law, Mr. E. E. Scheerens. The men were attired in the conventional dark suits.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Mrs. W. K. Doonan played the wedding march and the music for the nuptial high mass following the wedding ceremony. The bride’s sister, Mrs. Paul Strohkirch, sang Rosewig’s "Ave Maria" for offertory.

A dinner was served to immediate family in the church basement which was beautifully decorated with flowers. A wedding cake and an anniversary cake for the groom’s parents adorned the table.

The newlyweds will live on the farm of the bride’s father.

In the evening friends and neighbors called to charwari the newlyweds and to wish them happiness together.
