Combs, Sarah Alcinda (27 FEB 1880 - 06 APR 1944)

Sarah Alcinda Pruitt was born Feb. 27th, 1880, at Houston, Ind. At the age of 21 years she was united in marriage to Wm. H. Combs, also of that city. Their home was started in Terre Haute, Ind. Later moving to Illinois, then to Montana, and later to Withee, where they have resided for twenty years.

To them were born seven children, Laconda, Cecil, Blanche, Fred, Essie, Everett and Roy. Two of which have preceded their mother in death, namely Everett and Cecil. Her husband and three daughters and two sons, as well as eight grandchildren and a host of friends are left to mourn her death.

She became a member of the Christian church at the age of 18 years and has lived a true Christian life. In many years of suffering she was always patient.

She became suddenly ill on Monday night of last week and passed away Thursday night, April 6th, at the age of 64 years. Thus a devoted wife, a kind and loving mother and true friend with all whom she met, has gone to her home where sorrow never enters, but all is peace, joy and happiness.
