Albrecht, Paul Carl (5 March 1896 - 1 September 1951)

Paul Carl Albrecht, age 55, of Neillsville, Route 2, died at the Veterans Hospital at Ft. Snelling, Minneapolis, Minn., on September 1. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday from the Georgas Funeral Home at two o’clock. Interment was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery with the Rev. William Koehler officiating.

Mr. Albrecht was born on March 5, 1896, at Green Lake County, Wis. He came with his family to Clark County in 1905 and they located in the Town of Hewett. He worked on the home farm until he entered military service in 1918. After the war he returned to farming.

On Dec. 21, 1925, he was married to Martha Lenz at Neillsville. Mr. Albrecht served as treasurer of the Town of Hewett for several years. He was a member of the Haugen-Richmond Post No. 73 of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Louis, age 5; his mother, Mrs. Emma Albrecht; one brother, Richard Albrecht; and one niece and seven nephews.

His sister Mrs. Henry Collins preceded him in death on Aug. 27, 1950, and his father died in 1940.

Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, September 6, 1951, for Paul C. Albrecht at the Georgas Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were: Walter Durst, Walter Pollnow, Charles Oldham, Al Keller, Henry Stiemke, and Charles Marden.

Floral offerings were in charge of Mrs. Albert Keller, Mrs. Walter Pollnow, Mrs. Henry Stiemke, Mrs. Walter Durst and Mrs. Charles Oldham.

Mrs. Glen Lezotte and Mrs. John Kleckner sang two selections accompanied by Mrs. Ray Arndt.
