Andruskiewicz, Elizabeth (16 JUN 1877 - 24 FEB 1950)

Mrs. Elizabeth Andruskiewicz, age 73, succumbed to a heart attack, which she suffered while returning home from the doctor’s office Friday afternoon, Feb. 24th, 1950. She was being taken to her home near Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) by her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Pietrzen, route 1, Owen.

The deceased had been visiting at The Pietrzen home for two days when she complained of a congested feeling in her throat and asked that they take her to her home at Thorp. Enroute to Thorp they stopped at Dr. J. W. Johnson’s office at Thorp for a medical check up and then continued to Thorp.

Elizabeth Andruskiewicz, nee Elizabeth Murasanka, was born in Poland on Jan. 16, 1877. She was the mother of nine children, seven of whom are still living and is also survived by 30 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death, passing away in 1946.

Children surviving her are Josie Michur, Thorp; Harriet Pietrzen, Owen; Mary Przybylski, Gilman; Janet Babich, Chicago, Ill.; Bernice Piwoni, Curtiss; Theresa Krempel, Chicago; Charlie Andruskiewicz, St. Louis, Mo.; Leon Andruskiewicz, Thorp, and Frank Andruskiewicz of Withee.

Funeral services were conducted from St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church, Thorp, with the Frs. Piekarski, Kiam and Kamla officiating at the mass. Burial was made in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were: Stanley Michur, Eugene Pietrzen, Leo Andruskiewicz, Robert Babich, Leonard Przybylski and Eugene Andruskiewicz.

Among the relatives who attended the services were: Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Andruskiewicz and children of St. Louis, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. Leo Krempel and family, Chicago, Ill.; Janet Babich and children, Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. Charlie Pachuck and daughter, St. Louis, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pachuck, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Pachuck and Mesdames Porzenski, Romstowski, Sowicki and Bach, St. Louis, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Karwach and Stanley Karwaik of Chicago.
