Schlinsog, Fred Carl (14 February 1884 - 15 October 1951)

Fred Carl Schlinsog, age 67, of Granton died at the Neillsville hospital on Friday at 1 a.m. due to a tetanus infection.

Funeral services were conducted on Monday, October 15 at two o’clock from the Bergemann Funeral Home. Interment was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery with the Rev. Lee Holmes officiating.

Mr. Schlinsog was born on February 14, 1884, to August and Pauline Handtke Schlinsog at Granton. He spent his entire life in Clark County and he had been a farmer all of his life. For many years he owned and operated a farm north of Romadka School. Three years ago he sold that farm and purchased one north of York Center, where he had since resided.

Mr. Schlinsog was married on August 19, 1909, to Minnie Levandusky at Loyal. He is survived by his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Victor (Ruth) Turner of Wisconsin Rapids, and Mrs. John (Sadie) Bunk of Kendall, Wis.; four grandchildren; one brother, Ernest Schlinsog of Granton; two sisters, Mrs. Ernest (Martha) Neinas of Chili; and Mrs. Emil (Amelia) Miller of Spencer.

Two sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held on Monday for Fred Schlinsog at two o’clock at the Bergemann Funeral Home. The Rev. Lee Holmes of Loyal officiated.

Pallbearers were Frank Dobes, Herbert Free, Henry Gardner, Harold Mortimer, Emil Schoenfeld and Ed Voight.

Mrs. Helen C. Smith sang two selections accompanied by Mrs. Virgil Nulton at the piano.

Relatives from out of town attending the rites included Mr. and Mrs. Victor Turner and sons of Wisconsin Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. John Bunk and daughter of Kendall, Mrs. Emil Miller of Spencer, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Neinas of Chili, Mrs. Art Morentner of Ladysmith, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Peterson of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Lustig of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Art Malintine of Spencer, Mr. and Mrs. Helmuth Lavandowska of Greenwood, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Schlinsog of Marshfield, and Mr. and Mrs. James Mead of Greenwood
