Dillon, Albert (18 Sept. 1880 - 8 Aug. 1942)

Albert Dillon, a former resident of Abbotsford, Wisconsin, died at his home in Chippewa Falls, Aug. 8. He had been ill with cancer since about the first of the year.

Funeral services, which were held Tuesday afternoon at the Presbyterian church in Chippewa Falls, were attended by Mrs. George Barker, Mrs. M. C. Bunnell, Mrs. Eli Mittelstadt, Mrs. Lester Kattre, from Abbotsford, and Mrs. Will Berry of Colby, Wis.

Albert Dillon was born Sept. 18, 1880 in Faribault, Minn. Shortly after his birth his parents came to Abbotsford to make their home.

On Sept. 30, 1908, he was married in Tomahawk, to Miss Emily Becker of Athens. For two years they lived in Athens; the next eight years they lived in Abbotsford and the past 19 years in Chippewa Falls.

For 13 years Mr. Dillon was fireman on the "Ane" which ran between Athens and Abbotsford, Wis.

Mr. Dillon leaves his widow and two daughters: Mrs. Lyman Wolf, of New London and Doris, at home. One son preceded him in death. There are four grandchildren and four sisters: Mrs. Ben McCarthy, Fond du Lac; Mrs. Laura McCarthy, Portland, Ore.; Mrs. Peter Hanson and Mrs. Nellie White, Cushing.
