Moeller, Sheldon G. (27 June 1932 - 16 February 2009) With Flag

Sheldon G. "Gat" Moeller, 76, of Alfred, ME, passes away Monday, Feb. 16, 2009.

Sheldon was born in Neillsville June 27, 1932, the son of Jacob and Helene "Susie" (Reindel) Moeller. He attended the Happy Hollow School in rural Neillsville until eighth grade and then the family moved to Dysart, IA.

He served 22 years in the U. S. Navy and retired from the Naval Reserve as a boatswain’s mate first class in 1980. He worked for Sciavi Enterprises for many years and retired in 2008.

He married Miranda "Millie" Wallace Sept. 4, 1966, in Brooklyn, N.Y.

He is survived by his brother, Jake Moeller, Chicago, IL; his nephew, Allen Moeller (Patricia Schnur); his nieces, Lorrie Moeller and Cheryl Moeller; and his companion, Irene Carter. He ahs seven great-nieces, and nephews: Jenny Moeller, Allen Jr. Moeller, David (Erin) Moeller, Timmy Moeller, Michael Moeller, Alyssa Gleaves and Erick Gleaves; and one godson, Jason Trowbridge.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob, and Helene; his wife Miranda; and his sister, Karen (Sandefur).

A Memorial Celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 18, 2009, from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the American Legion Post #73 of Neillsville with military rites. Burial will follow in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
