Clifford A. Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond A. Smith of Rt. 1 Neillsville, recently was promoted to army specialist five. He is serving as a mail clerk with Company E, 122nd maintenance Battalion of the 3rd Armored Division near Kirch Gons, Germany.
