GRANTON -- Marvin Jahr, 91, of Granton died Thursday, April 16, 2009, at the Miller Alternative Care Facility in Marshfield.

Marvin Bernard Jahr was born Dec. 2, 1917, in Granton, the son of Frank and Elsie (Wilke) Jahr. He farmed all of his life in Granton.

He is survived by four children, David (Sue) Jahr of Marshfield, Audrey Jahr of Wausau, Wayne Jahr of Granton and Anita (Tim) Moltzen of Granton; five grandchildren; two brothers, Everett (Ruth) Jahr of California and Franklin Jahr of Beloit.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances.

A graveside service for Marvin will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Windfall Cemetery in Granton. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at the Gesche Funeral Home.

The Gesche Funeral Home is assisting Marvin's family with funeral arrangements.
