Bischoff, Albert (11 Feb. 1872 - 27 Nov. 1946)

Funeral services for Albert Bischoff, 74, Dorchester, who had served about 20 years as a member of the Marathon county board of supervisors from the town of Holton and who died of a heart attack Nov. 27, were held Monday afternoon at St. Peter’s Lutheran church in Dorchester, Wis. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiated and burial was made in the Dorchester cemetery.

Mr. Bischoff had served as treasurer of the Bruckerville Telephone company and as a member of the Barry school district in the town of Holton for many years. He moved to the town of Holton about 50 years ago from Buffalo county and was married Nov. 28, 1899, in Fountain City to Mary Lettned. They moved to Dorchester a year ago.

Following his collapse from the heart attack while walking on a Dorchester street, he was taken home, where he was pronounced dead.

Surviving are the widow, four children, Leonard Bischoff, town of Holton; Mrs. William Hackel, Colby; Mrs. Clarence Backhaus, Boyd, and Charles Bischoff, who lives on the home farm in the town of Holton; a brother, Herman Bischoff, and three sisters, Miss Anna Bischoff, Mrs. Ida Joose, and Mrs. Albert Schwanke, all of southwestern Wisconsin.

Albert Bischoff is buried in the Dorchester Memorial Cemetery, Mayville, Clark County, Wisconsin.
